As a family-owned and women-led company, our roots run deep in the woodworking traditions passed down for over a century.
While we can trace our woodworking lineage back a few more generations, the art of casket building begins generations ago with our great-great-grandfather, a skilled craftsman using a pedal lathe. This passion passed to our great-grandfather, who, with our great-grandmother, crafted the interiors for what our family called 'cabinets.' These 'cabinets' were, in fact, finely crafted custom caskets. Meticulous attention was paid to every detail, ensuring these creations weren't just vessels, but works of art, reflecting the respect and care poured into their creation. This tradition, now spanning five generations, informs every handcrafted custom casket we create at Randolph's.
